Sarah Cornelius is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education, University of Aberdeen with over 20 years experience in distance and online learning in post-compulsory education. She regularly uses web conferencing for teaching, supervision and meetings and provides training and mentoring for facilitators new to live online learning. As an online learner she has participated in a wide range of live online learning events, from an introductory language course to postgraduate workshops and professional development webinars. Sarah has research interests in teachers' and learners' experiences of technology enhanced learning, particularly web conferencing, mobile learning and online role play. She has also worked as an independent consultant, developing online learning for private sector organisations in the UK and USA, and is co-author of a successful textbook in Geographical Information Systems.
