About the editors
RICHARD HOGSTON is Professor of Healthcare Education and Regulation and Dean of the Faculty of Health at Leeds Metropolitan University, UK. Prior to joining Leeds Met, Richard was at Hull University, and previously worked for the Department of Health where he was Nursing Officer for Education and Training. Richard held teaching posts at the University of Portsmouth where his main teaching and research interests concentrated on quality and management. Before entering education, Richard followed a clinical career in Portsmouth.

BARBARA MARJORAM is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Pre-Registration Nursing and Midwifery at the School of Health Sciences at the University of Southampton, UK. Her previous publications have included the use of information technology in nursing, enquiry-based learning and elimination.
