FAQ – purchasing a digital book from Macmillan International Higher Education (MIHE)

How do I access my eBook?

Your eBook is will be available through VitalSource. Once you complete your purchase go to VitalSource and login to your account. If you do not already have an account you will need to create one. You must use the same email address that you used when purchasing the eBook from MIHE. Once in your account navigate to “Bookshelf”. Your eBook should be there ready waiting for you.

What do I do if my eBook does not appear in Bookshelf?

Check you used the same email address to register, if yes, please contact our customer support.

How long will I be able to access my book?

Standard access is 1 year online access, and perpetual download.

Do I have to download any software to read my book?

To read your eBook online you do not need to download any software. To read offline you will need to install the VitalSource app.

What are the system requirements for viewing my eBook?

Visit the VitalSource website to find out the minimum and recommended browser requirements you'll need to use VitalSource Bookshelf. Top

Can I download my eBook and read it offline?

Yes, you can download and read offline in the VitalSource App. You will only be able to read the eBook in the VitalSource Reader, and you will not be able to share the book with anyone else.

Can I read my book on my iPad/Android device?

You can read your eBook on any computer, tablet or mobile phone. VitalSource Bookshelf is compatible with both Macs and PCs as well as iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, and Chromebook devices.

Can I access my eBook on more than one device?

Yes. You will be able to download and access your eBook onto 2 computers and 2 mobile devices using the Bookshelf app.

You will be able to print up up 10% of your eBook.

What is your return policy?

You may cancel your eBook purchase and request an immediate refund within 14 days of your initial purchase (some exclusions apply), provided that:

• You have not viewed and/or printed, in total, more than twenty percent (20%) of the eBook
• If you purchase a eBook, request a refund, and then purchase the same eBook again, you will not be eligible to request any further refunds for that eBook.
