Access to our publications for those with a reading impairment

We are very happy to support access to our publications for those with a reading impairment.

We supply files to RNIB Bookshare which is an online resource that provides UK curriculum materials in a range of accessible formats that can be read electronically or adapted to suit the personal reading needs of learners. The service enables learners who cannot read standard print, including those with dyslexia or sight loss, to read the same books at the same time as their peers, giving them the same educational opportunities.

With RNIB Bookshare you can access thousands of accessible books from Higher Education, and thousands of images in clear print and tactile formats for curriculum and leisure topics, including Maths, Science and Geography.

Visit rnibbookshare.org to set up your account and start downloading resources. Alternatively, you can contact the RNIB Bookshare team by emailing bookshare@rnib.org.uk or calling 44 (0)30 0303 8313. If you can't find the book you're looking for in the collection please complete the RNIB Bookshare book request form.

For international requests, please fill out the form below. We will then provide a license and the files.

Please note, in order to prevent file sharing and piracy, we only supply files to named members of staff at the user’s educational institution.

We are committed to working alongside the Publishers Association with government, educational institutions and charitable bodies, to try and bring about a significant improvement in the availability of accessible formats for the reading impaired.

Macmillan International Higher Education wishes to thank Jisc for their valuable recommendations on many aspects of our accessibility workflows and policies.
