Why Publish With Us?
Our Team and Our Service
At Red Globe Press we offer authors the opportunity to work with a publisher who has the marketing, distribution and commercial weight of a major player but the spirit of an independent. We pride ourselves on being an editorial team that really cares, and which prioritises the quality – rather than the quantity – of the titles we publish. We know what is important to our authors and also to our customers, so that we can develop your idea to match courses all around the world.
Our team is small with a real personal touch – our authors comment on the ability of us all as editors to make quick decisions, and the strong relationships we build with them. We are believers in great content, and delivering that in the form that our readers want, most often still through print but with increasing exciting opportunities in digital formats too.
Our aim is to publish texts that map to courses where students or institutions are keen to invest. We focus in particular on books that serve introductory and second year courses, where we can offer something innovative and distinctive. The authors of our biggest books receive support from our Development team, in order to make sure that our projects with the most potential have the best possible content, design, and ancillaries, and are best positioned to secure adoptions around the world. We also publish for key courses further up the undergraduate curriculum and into postgraduate level.
As well as publishing some of the most successful textbooks in Higher Education, we simultaneously produce widely-accessible eBooks and, where relevant, sophisticated interactive e-learning resources designed to help lecturers deliver their course and support their students. Our portfolio includes technologies tailored to specific courses as well as those that can be used in any classroom, at any level.
Our Subject Range
We publish across many subject areas, including our market-leading Study Skills, Politics and Social Work lists, and with key bestselling texts in Psychology, Economics, Law, Modern Languages, Engineering, Sociology and the Humanities. Under the wider Macmillan International Higher Education umbrella, we also market and distribute a selection of important STEM texts from Springer as well as textbooks from Macmillan Learning (Bedford, Freeman and Worth) outside of North America, meaning that our overall range of titles is world-leading.
Production and Design
We work hard to make sure all our content is published to the highest standards. All our books have a bespoke or series cover design, are presented in clear and attractive page designs and are carefully copyedited, typeset and proofread.
Our marketing team works with the latest technology and database management systems, and develops sophisticated campaigns to make sure your title gets the attention of the right professors and lecturers across the world and especially in our key territories, which include the UK; Northern and Western Europe; North America; Australasia; the Middle East; and Southern Africa. For further information about how we market our books, see here.
We have a highly-talented and extensive team of campus representatives visiting universities and conferences around the world, working with professors and lecturers to demonstrate the merits of our biggest titles and digital products, and support adoptions.
